仕事の関係でubuntuをインストールすることにしました。
引っかかったのはインストール後、HDDから起動すると以下のようなメッセージが出て止まってしまいます。
Boot fro (hd0,0) ext3 xxxxxxx Starting up ... This kernel requires the following features not present on the CPU: pae Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.
VirutalBoxの仮想マシンの設定で、《一般》の《高度》タブに、「PAE/NXを有効化」とそれらしい項目があったのでチェック入れたら無事に起動しました。
